Welcome to EVAHEART MEDICAL USA, INC., a joint venture between Asahi Kasei and SUN MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH CORPORATION.

EVAHEART MEDICAL was founded in Pittsburgh, PA to introduce the EVAHEART Left Ventricular Assist System (LVAS) to healthcare professionals and to patients suffering from congestive heart failure in the United States. We are seeking approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2009 to initiate clinical trials in the US.

This website is intended to introduce you to the EVAHEART LVAS, the companies that developed the device, and to direct you to the appropriate source of additional information.

IDE application for the EVAHEART LVAS was conditionally approved for use as a bridge to transplantation.
